About Me
I enjoy staying healthy, hiking, kayaking, and playing sports most people have never heard of. I may or may not be able to cook better than your mom.
I'm currently doing research while pursuing my PhD. I think my next career might be sailing, though.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: I read mainly non-fiction. My favorite author is probably Oliver Sacks.
Movies: I'm kind of picky with movies. They have to have a decent plot and continuity for me to admit that I like them. That being said, I tend to like pretty lame movies - the ones that make me a bit nostalgic (e.g., Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, etc). I do like a lot of Q. Tarantino movies, and some cultish kinds of things. And if you haven't seen the Bee Movie, you probably should.
Music: I enjoy listening to a lot of 70's funk and classic rock. I'll listen to some more current stuff, when I'm in the mood, or sometimes I listen to classical piano music. I also enjoy all kinds of stuff from the 20's to present day, really. Lots of people say "a wide variety," but I do listen to a very wide variety, legit.
Food: I'm adding this one, just in case. Ha ha. I'm vegetarian. I really enjoy a lot of Indian and Thai dishes. I cook a lot of food, myself, and I make some pretty good stuff. :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving in New Zealand was nice.
Teach, Learn, Share
Want to learn about Gaelic sports? Done. Used to be pretty good at trombone, and I know quite a bit about science, etc. I can of course teach you some English, if need be.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I think most people are pretty similar. I don't have anything special to offer but good company and interesting experiences, same as anyone else.
