About Me

Hi
Im a recently graduated art student living back at home with my family temporarily. That is my Mother (Marla), Father (Scott), Sister (Talia) and Brother (Zen). I have one other sister who lives in Oakland now. We all grew up here in this house and are true brooklynites, our family has lived in New York City since 1916. We live fast paced lifestyles and love to work and run around and have fun. Our home is cozy and we love guests from around the world. We are open to any guestd who respects our home and our hours.

Myself:
Im an artist who specializes in sculpture and woodworking. I love to bike around the city and go to bars and museums. I am a great guide of the city as I have biked around so much and would love to spend time with you if I have a free day, to show you around the best food and neighborhoods.
As a guest I am very clean and respectful and would love to cook or clean for you if you let me stay at your house.
I speak a little spanish, and am learning german currently.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am now out of school and hoping to meet people from around the world who can tell me about their cultures and homes; I want to travel and have little money so homestays are always the way to go! I also prefer to go to a place and stay/meet locals who can show me the true side of their city rather than just the tourist side.
Come to Brooklyn and I will do the same for you!

Interests

I spend my time on my adventures when i can. These adventures include subactivities, like rock climbing, skateboarding, biking (long distance, and races), hiking, trail running, jogging, slacklining (its like tightrope walking), etc etc etc. If i decide to not adventure, you will find me playing guitar and jamming with friends, or editing a short film, or drawing, or dancing, or anything else thats fun, if you tell me its fun, ill check it out. Ive attempted to learn skills such as handstands, knitting, juggling, yo yoing, yoga, cooking, etc. and am still attempting but cant say they are my time spenders yet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) After class one day, my bud and i, hitchhiked up to the mountains near our school, and rock scrambled/hiked up to the peak where there is a tower. The trails were closed due to ice, so no one was there (and usually they are packed with school trips and tourists). We had the mountain to ourselves. After we got to the peak, we only had a couple of hours till dark, and my friend wanted to hitchhike back to town, but from the peak we could see town, which was about 9 miles away from town, so I suggested we try to walk back and get home before sundown. A race against the sun! To make a longer story a bit shorter, after a bit of getting lost and trail running we got to town. Best day of college life.
