ABOUT ME

I'm a worldly and open-minded person that is totally dedicated to my work ... regardless of what that work happens to be at any given time (school, my job, my family, etc.). I love to share political opinions and philosophies with reasonable folks willing to have a good conversation; I love changing minds ... whether its mine or yours! I'm a big fan of tolerance, regardless of what the issue happens to be.

I am dedicated to my faith, enjoy sharing it with others and love hearing about their own experiences and how they've shaped their lives. I also enjoy art, animals, time spent alone just recharging my batteries and am an avid pop-culture critic / cynic!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I'm just getting started. I'm taking a vacation soon and would love for some hosts to take me in!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No true couch-surfing experiences yet, although I have, on multiple occasions, taken in someone less-fortunate than I am and bought them a meal and some coffee and given up a few hours of conversation. Everyone needs to feel valued, and the people I've met through those types of charitable experiences are some amazing folks!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I was fortunate enough to take my mother, my aunt and my grandmother on a trip to Washington, DC. I'd been there multiple times and even lived there for several months, so I didn't see anything amazing, but my mom has wanted to travel to DC her entire life. So in 2007, I was able to take her, her sister and her mom there; my grandmother's sister lived in a retirement home there, so they were able to see each other one last time (my great aunt passed away in 2008). The amazing part of the trip was seeing my mom and grandma's happiness at getting to travel to a place they never thought they'd go.
