ABOUT ME

As expressed by a friend: I am a wanderer, curious by nature and delighted by the simple things in life. Amused by subtleties, I find pleasure in the small stuff; that said, I have a keen eye for patterns and puzzles. I like putting things together and taking them apart, but always with care. Above all, I have a big heart and extend a warm embrace toward friends and strangers alike. I'm still looking for my place in this world, but I try to be humble throughout it all, to such an extent that I couldn't write a word of this (true fact). I think it must go to show that if a friend has written all that about me, I must be a somewhat decent guy, but maybe he's just a bit too into his writing. Either or.

Books are great, but my relationship with books is currently a struggle.
I just finished Choke (Palahniuk) and I'm currently dabbling in Age of the Spiritual Machines (Kurzweil). It might be best if we talk about music and food, at least for the time being.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Sitting on a giant rock-face in the middle of a impeccably clear sky in the mountains of Yosemite, hundreds of miles from civilization is certainly one of the more impressive moments in my mind. Nature is amazing. Humans are too. Seeing all the beautiful things we humans create is quite awesome and leaves me constantly amazed. Documentaries, art exhibits, structures, bridges, monuments. Burning Man is one of the most spectacular moments I've ever experienced, where a community is built out of the dust in the middle of nowhere for one week and everyone is allowed to just be themselves and sharing joy with those around you takes the cake.

I'm learning about the world, day by day. My current explorations are helping to accelerate this. I'll share what I find with anyone who wants to know. I'm also an expert at technology. I don't really just want to fix your computer for you, but I will absolutely help you learn how to do it yourself. I can't teach you to build a website tonight, but I'll point you in the right direction. In exchange, I hope you'll share your own wisdom with me and help me quench my thirst for knowledge - on whatever topic happens to interest you - if you know how something works, I'd love to know too.
