About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Spread good vibes, learn from people, enjoy nature.
ABOUT ME
I used to be a frequent traveller. But as we grow older having a job becomes a part of life.
This means having less time to explore the globe. But when possible I want to grab the moment with both hands.
In my daily life I work as a project worker on the subjects of inclusion, integration and diversity. My goal is to work abroad before turning 30.
When I travel, I tend to go the adventurous way. I'm a sucker for mountains, can handle a good hike but most of all I like to meet people and learn about their cultures. And please, take me with you on a trip in your local cuisine!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm not shy to book a hotel. But since I'm often travelling alone, having the possibility to get in touch with locals is something very meaningful. I feel that Couchsurfing is a platform that enhances the possibility of getting a grab on a country's culture. One of the main reasons I travel.
Interests
I live by the motto: 'agree to disagree'. So I'm always in for a good conversation about the things that are going on in the world. Always with a profound respect for my counterpart.
I dare to say I'm a sporty person. I used to play football but now I'm more passionate about cycling. And when on holiday I can't resist the urge for a good hike. If possible with some beautiful mountain views.
Besides that, I like to indulge myself in a country's local food and music.

Music, Movies, and Books
It comes as no surprise that I'm also a lover of music. Before I would've put some of my favourite artists over here. But these days I think more in genres. Lately, my favourites are funk, disco and Arab and African music in various forms.
At home I find peace a little bit too much in front of my television. I rather watch series over movies.
Reading books isn't really my thing. Although I'm trying to do it more often. I'd rather spend some time with my newspaper.
Guilty pleasures: Karaoke and Eurovision song contest...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Although catching a (little) piranha in the Peruvian jungle was cool, reaching a 6000m summit (literally) tops everything for me at the moment.
