About Me

** TRAVELING / NOT HOSTING ATM **

Born and raised in the heart of Mexico, Guadalajara. In 2016, I traded the big city for the sun-kissed shores of Playa del Carmen. Hosting on Couchsurfing opened my door to people from all walks of life, fostering lasting friendships and inspiring my own journeys. Soon, I started exploring the world with my backpack, immersing myself in diverse cultures and landscapes.

Connecting with locals became a highlight of my travels, as I learned so much from their unique perspectives and knowledge.

Music inspired my first trips, leading me to iconic festivals and exploring the nightlife around Europe and the US. In the summer months of 2018 and 2019, I moved to the beautiful island of Ibiza, which turned out to be more than just a party hotspot. I discovered breathtaking sunsets, a free-spirited community, and a thriving arts scene.

Outside of travel, I'm deeply interested in the science and traditions that promote well-being. From ancient wisdom to modern research on human biology, I'm always learning and exploring ways to optimize health.

Currently I’m traveling with my partner, Robin. We're a Swiss-Mexican couple embracing the digital nomad lifestyle, seeking new experiences and adventures. We always appreciate connecting with fellow travelers and locals, whether it's sharing a meal or swapping stories about hidden gems.

My instagram profile is @jess.gss if you want to connect there!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done most of my traveling solo. One of my most memorable solo adventures was attending Burning Man in the Nevada desert. It was an incredible experience to immerse myself in such a unique and creative environment, completely on my own terms. It taught me that sometimes the most rewarding experiences come from stepping outside of your comfort zone and embracing the unknown.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm happy to share what I learned about health and wellness, travel tips, and my music festival experiences. I'm also a lifelong learner, always eager to hear about other people's passions and expertise. I believe that every interaction is an opportunity to both teach and learn, creating a richer and more interconnected world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm excited to share stories and insights from my travels, about Mexico and other unique places I've explored. I'm also happy to teach a few Spanish phrases, share a cup of coffee or offer tips on health and wellness. Most importantly, I'm always eager to engage in meaningful conversations and learn from my hosts' perspectives and experiences.
