About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finally finished my BA in anthropology and political sciences, wohoo!! Now looking for some nice people, beautiful places, sun, sun, sun, traveling around Greece for 6 weeks (if possible avoiding the touristy crowds and places), share beautiful moments, good food, nice parties, definitely beer (huge fan!) before starting my MAs in Urban Anthropology/Urban Studies in october. But not before spending some weeks in India in July/August climbing the Himalayas, well we'll see how that will go...;)
I also think about wwoofing in Greece, but no plans made so far as my trip to Greece is super spontaneous and I'll just wait and see whatever and whoever crosses my paths :)

ABOUT ME

I am a 25 year old girl from Germany, who wants to see the world. I am pretty good at adjusting to different ways of life and different standards of living, so I'm not too demanding!
I'm a very laid back, tolerant and open minded person although I'm sometimes a little bit shy in the beginning, but still waters run deep. No seriously I just wanna meet people who share a similar mindset, or even a totally different mindset, learn about myself, grow and try to stay the optimistic, joyful and positive person I am.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During my 6 week trip to Indonesia and Malaysia I slept a few times on different couches and it was always a great experience. I loved getting in touch with interesting people, who were always willing to show me the most beautiful places of their city and I would do so as well. Especially if you're in a foreign country all on your own there's no better way to make you feel more comfortable and get to know the country than meeting nice people. Also I really want to get to know your city/town/surroundings, as I have a lot of fascination for urban experiences/alternatives, basically fascinated in different people living/sharing/creating their urban and rural environments togetheror alone in whatever way. Really looking forward to experience your own personal way of life.
After school I went to South East Asia for six month, where I had the most amazing couchsurfing experience. I stayed in Davao/Philippines and my host showed me around pretty much everywhere. We had a nice stroll through the city, went to remote islands and had the best time!
Unfortunately I wasn't able to host someone myself as my room in Heidelberg is pretty small and we don't have a living room, but as soon as I get the opportunity, all of you nice people out there should come and stay with me!

Interests

Travelling, getting to know different cultures, reading, having fun, having a nice party,, listening to music, dancing, getting new input and I just discovered juggling for myself, but still not very good at it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Definitely no horror movies! But besides that I love getting to know new bands, movies, books and adding them to my lists of "have to listen to", "have to watch", "have to read"...at the moment I fancy Portugal the Man, Bon Iver, Bibio, Bonobo, but also a loooot of Techno, more precisely melodic, downtempo, world music stuff. I love music, always listening to music - looking forward to listen to your favorites!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done was packing my backpack and travelling around South East Asia alone for 6 months after I finished school - since that a lot of traveling has happened and a lot of experiences have been made, each of them as beautiful as the other.
And also I've been to Idomeni/Greece in March/April 2016 to volunteer at the refugee camp. Not amazing, certainly the opposite of amazing, but still an experience which affected me deeply. Still very active and passionate about refugee rights.
