About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live, love, learn, and laugh. As much as I possibly can.
ABOUT ME
I'm an open individual who will try pretty much anything once. I love learning new skills and information and exploring different places and cultures. I consider myself to have a bit more FOMO (fear of missing out) than perhaps I should but I find this gets me out and experiencing the world more as if I'm presented with an opportunity to do or try something I usually say "yes". I've got a lot of living to do and you can't do that if you don't pounce!
PHILOSOPHY
Live in the moment,
Cherish and learn from the past,
Embrace the present,
That's where life's gifts are waiting.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I'm interested in surfing. We do have space in our home to host right now but we hope to offer a more comfortable space in the spring.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm brand new to this - but heard only positive things from all friends who engage! I'm so looking forward to getting out there and meeting new folks!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm open to most genres when it comes to movies, books and music. I can't for the life of me watch horror films (I know, I'm a whimp) and I don't love heavy metal. My most favourite book I've read is "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" by Betty Smith when I was a teenager. It's an easy read but it's stayed with me a long time - it's a beautiful story.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was privileged to live in Siberia, Russia for 10 months on a Rotary Youth Exchange when I was 18/19 years old. When I arrived I knew essentially 0 Russian. When I left I was told that I had a Russian soul. To be welcomed into a culture to the point of not only learning the language but also the way of being and living was and is something that I will always cherish.
Teach, Learn, Share
I LOVE learning to cook different things. I also love to eat so cooking and sharing a meal with my host is something that would greatly appeal to me.
