I've wanted to travel the world since I was very little--my great adventure. I want to do and see as many things as possible. I'm pretty social, but at home I enjoy a nice evening with a few friends, dinner, and games more often than going out to bars. About once a week, I do like to go out dancing with my girlfriends. Besides that, I spend a lot of time outside playing sports, running, or exploring. As a house guest, I always try to have good manners and be quiet, clean, and helpful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling and staying in nice hotels doesn't give you the full experience; I want immersion- with the people, the culture, and the language. When I went to Costa Rica, I lived with a family there for a month and my time was so much more memorable because of it. Also, challenges give you the best stories. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love so many types of music; it's too hard to narrow that down. Everything from oldies, to 70's, jazz, lots of Latin music, and all sorts of current artists. Mostly I really like something I can dance to. Recently I saw Santigold and Future Islands, which were amazing. Favorite books are 'The King Killer Chronicles' by Patrick Rothfuss. Top favorite movies: Crocodile Dundee, Under the Tuscan Sun, Underworld, 5th Element, Pride and Prejudice, Chocolat, The Sweetest Thing, Love Actually, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation and many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've climbed on stage and danced at 3 concerts now- Neil Diamond cover band, Skrillex, and Santigold. They gave me a tambourine at the first one.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to help anyone, young or old that is learning English. I am extremely well spoken in English. Many of my college courses were writing intensive and before that I attended a private school that had very high standards in grammar and vocabulary. I would also like to learn Spanish and Spanish cooking.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm also a pretty great cook and I have a wide variety of favorite dishes I make; I love cooking for friends! Most of my cooking is really flavorful and healthy as well. Even when I go camping in the wilderness, I make a point of bringing several packets of herbs and spices. . . as well as some key ingredients for good cocktails.
