About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Figuring out the meaning of life...haha and taking care of my dog.
ABOUT ME
I'm a 28 year halfie (half-Filipino and half-white). I lived in South Korea for four years as an ESL teacher. I traveled for seven months before returning to the US for grad school. Now, I work as an HR recruiter to save money for student teaching next year.
I'm always amazed by how much I've changed since high school. Upon graduation and starting uni, I wanted to become an accountant and have a stable job, but after studying abroad in Japan, my world view completely changed. I wanted to experience more and more so I moved to Seoul and used it as a base for my travels. Whenever I got vacation time, I tried to go to someplace new.
PHILOSOPHY
Wow...this is deep. I guess for right now my personal philosophy is to enjoy life and let it take me where it will. I've only recently learned to be a little selfish and live my life for me.

I am completely new to this so I'm hoping to connect with people and share with them.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've actually never really had a couchsurfing experience unless you include my current situation. I'm living at my coworker's place for the month of September on a couch that converts into a bed. I would definitely say that it's been an amazing experience and I'm discovering we have a lot in common.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I would say the most breathtaking thing I've seen in Korea is the hike through Seorak Mountain in Seokcho. I never understood why people wanted to spend 14 hours of their day hiking until I saw scenery through that particular mountain range. I remember that going up the mountain I felt great thanks to some good thigh muscles. Going down the mountain...that was another story. I remember repeatedly telling my friend as pangs of pain shot up my joints, "I'm going to die on this mountain." It was also my first ever experience hiking and when I told an experienced hiker this, she told me I was crazy.
