About Me
24 year old Australian-born with Portuguese heritage, travelling solo for the time being through América Latina for a year or so.
Four years ago I travelled to South America and fell in love with the people and the history of this amazing continent. Since then I completed a university degree in Sociology and saved some money now I'm back.
I'm travelling without a plan, my main objective is travel slow, meet Latin Americans, grow and learn, about myself and the cultures I enounter.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I don´t want to see all the places and do all the things. I think so much is lost when you travel just to see. I want to integrate myself in places and communities and form real connections with people who live here. I´m not here to travel in the traditional sense of the word. I think the couchsurfing community provides a unique point of entry to meet locals. It´s also an opporunity to be a part of an exchange based on mutual trust and love for other cultures and people, a non transactional exchange which in itself is a pretty unique experience in today´s world.
Interests
Everything! I'm here to learn from people about their worlds.
I want to experience societies as they are. I want to discover cities and their cultural scenes, the music, art and nightlife. I want to find a city I love and stay for a while.
I also want to experience small communities. I want to learn about sustainable development, permaculture and indigenous communities.
My interests vary so much. I love dancing, all sorts of music from hip-hop, rock to jazz and electronic, hiking, vegetarian food, reading, dancing salsa, photography, an occasional football game, discussing philosophy and politics, this list goes on...
