About Me
My name is Jessica and I'm a recent college graduate. I worked through school and managed to graduate without debt, so now I'm finally making travel my top priority. I'm hoping to start an internship in mid August, so I'm going to be road tripping throughout the US at the end of July, beginning of August!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Not only will Couchsurfing save me money, but it will give me a chance to feel closer to the community and city I'm traveling through. To me, true travelers want to immerse themselves in the lives of the locals and learn about their day to day lives!

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't watch a lot of tv or movies, but a few movies stick out in my mind. I enjoy "Lost in Translation", "An Education", "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", "Definitely, Maybe", and "Young Adult".
Since graduating college, I've finally been having the time to get back into reading. A few books I like are "Flight Behavior", "One Day", "The Lovely Bones", and "Incantation".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To me, the most amazing thing I've done is a cross-country road trip I took back in 2013. I was 19 and had never been West of San Antonio, which I was 5 at the time. We saved up for 9 months and took my 2003 Honda Civic. We started in East Tennessee, made our way West all the way to Venice Beach, up Highway 1, then made our way back over through Wyoming and South Dakota. We went up to Niagara Falls, through New York City, then back down to Virginia Beach, VA. After a few days there, we made our way back home. Of course, there were many stops and sights along the way. It took us 28 days and almost 2,000 miles.
