Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was back in 2008 when I did a long-term Couchsurfing stay with a very nice family in France. They helped me learn French while I studied at the same school as their daughter. We also got together with other local Couchsurfers to watch the World Cup.

More recently, I've been using couchsurfing to meet up with other travelers as I visit and live in various countries.

Interests

Learning to speak in different languages, studio art, football (soccer), snowboarding, dance, music, trying new things -- I have apparently started a list of strange foods I've eaten in other countries

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I'd list a bunch of music, but I honestly like most everything I hear. Rock, pop, classical, metal, RnB, rap, electronic, etc..

Movies/TV: Grew up on Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Law and Order SVU. Enjoy an occasional anime

Books: Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, *trying* to read manga written in Japanese

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I suppose living abroad 4 times now, each to study a new language, is impressive. France in high school, Japan in college, and Germany and Korea for work. I would learn all the languages in the world if it was humanly possible ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

Since I love traveling and learning languages, don't be annoyed if I want to learn more about your culture or how to say a few things in your language! I genuinely want to learn and remember what people teach me-- sometimes this ends up even just being something silly like "I am an elephant". Somehow, I still remember that one after learning it about 6 years ago!

Likewise, if you want to learn something from me, I'm happy to share whatever I can!

I can share my experiences and stories with my hosts! Also my love for football (soccer)!
