About Me

Hello! My name is Jessica. I am 25 years Brazilian living in Colorado as an Au pair. My home town in Brazil is Belo Horizonte, in the beautiful state Minas Gerais. I always tell my foreign friends that Minas Gerais doesn't have paradisiacal beaches as Rio or the Northeast country. But we do have the best food, beautiful nature, historical towns and very nice people. I am an electrical engineering student back home and I used to work as an electronic technician before getting into this big adventure called Au pair exchange program. I enjoy spending time with friends and family/hostfamily. I love to explore the mountains skiing or hiking (Colorado got my heart) and also travel (I have visited 5 countries including my own and 22 states in the US). I am very into reading, movies and TV series. I used to run 100mt and play soccer until high school. But I do love sports in general. My favorite soccer team is Atletico Mineiro (Go Galo!).

Colorado has 58 mountain peaks exceeding 14,000 feet. These mountains are known as fourteeners. I have climbed my first one (Mount Bierstadt) by myself. It took me almost 3 hours to get to the summit. The elevation was 14,060ft.
