About Me

Aloha, I'm Jess, French woman always on move. After 6 months in a van, I decided to crash in Lyon, where I live now.

I love adrenaline when travelling, the connections we can create and exchange of energy by meeting people, especially when you feel you know them for ages.
Journey means for me meeting locals and people from all around the world, travelling by respecting the culture, adopting the way of living and being plunged into local habits. I love camping and I'm fine with sleeping on the floor in my beloved sleeping bag.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm an unconditional traveller since I'm young usually close to locals, responsable and along my encounter.
I couldn't imagine a journey without meeting new people, sharing experiences, discover their way of living and I'm always curious of how people live at the other corner of the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two months of WWOOF in Ecuador and Peru. I worked in organic and ethic farm for an Ecuadorian family in Cahuasqui, pueblo in North of Ecuador. I lived in the middle of Andes Cordillera with 5 alpacas in our yard, working on the fields and living the life at 4000m on the mountains with my Ecuadorian friends.
I'm now a huge Latin America lover, my soul is still there.

My life in Finland was a huge adventure with amazing people I met there, by travelling on the Finnish road by van, going to National Park without seeing any people during several days, sleeping in Lapland forest in winter and visiting Nordic countries. Jumping in ice hole after sauna, meeting reindeers, drinking longkero, swiming in the Artic Ocean, watching hockey matchs, beeing naked in the snow, this whole was my normal life there.

I have my best life in Taiwan, discovering these cultures so far from mine. And guys if Taiwan is not on your itinerary, you should change it!! This adorable island is worth it. I'll be back for sure in Asia, when you go once, you fall in love with people, landscapes and cultures.

Journey in Philippines, without any plans, without booking any accomodation, just travelling according to people on my way. It was such a crazy week and I will brb to PH to work as a volunteer there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm fascinated by language, that something amazing for me and I'm interested in learning it especially when I travel. I can teach you French if you want, I heard it's a romantic language.

Other important thing: have often heard that the way to a human’s heart is through his stomach and I'm always happy to cook and taste traditionnal tastes of the country!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always in for any types of adventures so we could go on road trip for a week end, discover non touristic places around, beers, party, camp fire. Well, possibilities are wide. And if you really have read my profile you will start your request with the lyrics of your favorite song
