ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Jessica. I was born and I grew up in a little town in the south of Germany, close to Stuttgart. After my graduation I spent one year working as an au pair in the USA. I did enjoy every minute with my two little twin girls I took care of and I loved to make friends from all over the world. It was such a great experience to participate at the au pair program to see other cultures and traditions than my own.
I love to travel! That´s why I tried to visit a lot of american cities during my year in America and I would like to come back and visit even more. In my opinion traveling is one of the most important things you can do in your free time because you can learn so much from others.
The most important thing to me are my friends and family. I love to be around them and I try to spend my time as much as possible with them.
All in all I have a curious nature about a lot of things. One fact about me is that I like music a lot that´s why I learned to play the piano. I just wanted to know how it feels like. Another fact is that I´m passionate about doing artstuff like drawing and painting. Besides I love to cook especially Asian food. This passion started when I was in America. I met a vietnamese girl who enjoys cooking as much as me. We hung out a lot to learn from each other different techniques and recipes.
A last thing about me for right now is that I love to laugh, I'm fun, and I would describe myself as an outgoing and spontaneous person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I travel a lot but I don’t like to stay at hotels to often because I’ve the feeling you don’t get in touch with the culture and the locals and that’s not traveling for me. It’s really important to meet people in new places to get an impression of the country. I use CS as a good opportunity to get to know people from the city I visit and just to stay somewhere nice for a few days where people can give you advices where to go and what to see. This way I made a lot of new friends.

Interests

I love exploring new cities, visiting museums and meeting people. I am an avid reader but I also love shopping, laying on the beach and swimming in the sea. Furthermore I love music. I play the piano how often it works and I really love to dance the whole night. I’m also interested in psychology, arts, cooking and photography.

Music, Movies, and Books

“How To Win Friends And Influence People” by Dale Carnegie is one of my favorite books.
I really love electronic music (for example from Sascha Braemer or Oliver Koletzki) but I don’t have a favorite movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Surfing in Hawaii, cliff jumping in Croatia or Greece, dancing on manhattans rooftops... there are many things which were amazing for me. I can’t decide which one is the best to tell. Would be much easier to talk about with a nice wine and a friend on a couch in a nice place on earth :)
