About Me

I float between a lot of random things but I consistently enjoy yoga, reading, theatre, spending time with animals, walking, being near water, dancing, and riding my bike. I am introverted, but I have no problem taking part in in-depth conversations and witty (slightly sarcastic) banter. But hey, that’s just me! I can appreciate all types of humour/interaction.

I don’t like the capitalist system, and I want the things I do in life to be constructive towards breaking the current system and fostering a much better environment for everyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the humanity involved in the concept of sharing our spaces and existences with others (with no conditions attached). It’s also a learning lesson for me, helping me to find strength in vulnerability and being more selfless.

“You’ll need coffee shops and sunsets and road trips. Airplanes and passports and new songs and old songs, but people more than anything else. You will need other people and you will need to be that other person to someone else, a living breathing screaming invitation to believe better things.”― Jamie Tworkowski

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve helped someone in a dire situation!

Teach, Learn, Share

You can show me who you are and I can show you who I am.

I’m continually meeting people that inspire me to be share more of myself (not an easy task) by sharing themselves with me

What I Can Share with Hosts

Currently travelling throughout Europe so I am unable to host. But in general I can share my empathy, understanding, and always my last beer.

I’m a no pressure on others type of person. I see a lot of people with expectations of how they think people should act on here. Why be so critical of the ways others spend their time and energy? I support all safety requirements when welcoming others into your space, but I think we’re all on our own journeys and nobody should be expected to do anything. You be you, I’ll be me, and then we can coexist happily without it being conditional.

When I can host:
I work at a great local vegan restaurant in Thunder Bay and I want to share it with whoever I can. We have fantastic hiking trails nearby, a great local music and arts scene, Lake Superior, and tons of surrounding beauty. I can make you a crappy cup of coffee from home or share some vegetarian cooking with you.

If I am hosting you when I am living in Canada’s capital city, Ottawa, well there’s tons to see. And I can surely help you out with seeing some of it
