About Me

I'm an open-minded, cheerful girl who likes meeting new people and making new friends. My friends would probably describe me as a bit crazy, honest, creative and relaxed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Be the change you want to see in the world!

"Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good." (Romans 12:21)

First of all, I love the idea of travelling a country not just by seeing main sights or pretty landscapes, but by interacting with a lot of different people from where I'm staying and getting to know them, their life realities, their way of living and what they think about their country, Europe and the world. I really think that this is what makes us open-minded humans who try not to live judging others, but understanding and embracing the differences despite of different origins and ways of life.

Secondly, when I'm travelling by myself, beside my small student's budget for travelling, I really think it is such an enriching experience to share time and conversations with almost strangers that not seldom in no time become friends. And later, when we look back, it's often these conversations and this short time spend together that remain as good memories, restoring faith in human kindness.

After I experienced so many positive and enriching CS moments while travelling, I felt like I wanted to give back what I received, one reason that made me decide to start hosting people by myself. I truly think that the only way of changing things you dislike is being the change yourself. Spreading kindness and love in a world in war, focussing on the things we all have in common instead of pointing out the differences. We're all humans, we're all one.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into indie and alternative music: Iron and wine, The tallest man on earth, Phoebe Bridgers, Asgeir, just to name a few. Generally, I like many different types of music, except the songs you constantly hear on the radio ( boring!).
Books: normally I just love the one I read last the most! I like John Green though, and the messages he puts in his books, "The perks of being a wallflower" is also pretty amazing,....
I'm not watching movies quite often, but I like independent movies and french movies. "Once" is amazing, as well as " Spartacus et Cassandra" and "Amélie".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Riding camels & rolling down dunes at Mongol Els, Mongolia.
Generally living abroad for one year in Mongolia was a difficult as well as amazing experience that formed me and my view at the world in many ways.
Also my Erasmus in Granada, Spain was a very awesome experience, as well as the workaways I did there on organic farms!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm really into music, so we could share a jam session or just talk about music. I love cooking together, teach me how to cook a traditional dish😃 Generally I'm always up for a good conversation and sharing different life stories and experiences as well as the different life realities each one of us is living in.
