About Me

Hi all!
I'm Jess, your typical Orange County girl. I'm a caffeine addict, social media solicitor, Netflix binger, and pizza lover. Currently a Junior at Pepperdine University with a major in Psychology, and a genuine love for people in general. Disneyland connoisseur, full-time beach junkie, with a knack for traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and potentially enjoy their company whether it be events, through traveling, or possibly meeting for coffee (which I love more than ever) at any given time :)

Interests

My interests include eating good food, being constantly surrounded by my amazing family and friends, going to the beach, hiking, photography, exploring, and any random adventures and shenanigans I can get myself into!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is almost anything except country, I'm a huge fan of anything alternative indie, EDM, house music, pop, mostly anything mainstream, and I dabble in rap when I'm feeling a little more edgy.
I've watched too many movies that I could even count, but if I had to pick favorites, they would be: How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, She's the Man, Sweet Home Alabama, any and every Disney movie, and all of the Fast & Furious movies.
Lastly, my favorite past time is reading books, but my favorites include Perks of Being a Wallflower, the Hunger Game Series, Burned, and (don't make fun of me) but the Twilight Series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being bound within a single country often times gives one a limited view of the world. Exposure to different cultures and traditions offers the opportunity for diverse cultural experiences as well as a sense of pride in your own unique traditions. I've been blessed with the opportunity to travel the world to countless continents, countries, and met countless people on my travels around the world with my family. From these encounters, I have learned some of the most valuable lessons that I believe a person can hope to learn in a lifetime and my hopes are to continue these journeys in order to become a more diversified, cultural person.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope to further unlock my potential as a student and person; I want to explore life-learned lessons with the objective to share my knowledge in an environment of great vibes, love, and humility. One of my favorite quotes is by Ralph Waldo Emerson, “Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood.” One should live life wholeheartedly, with the intention to further oneself to their greatest abilities, keeping in mind that overcoming the trials and tribulations of life will only make you stronger.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have the most obnoxiously bubbly personality, I love and enjoy the company of people in general, I'm very awkward at first but nothing is cooler to me than meeting new people, and I'm more than willing to do whatever necessary to make someone feel comfortable, loved, and welcomed!
