Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm going to be doing some travelling in the upcoming year (Hawaii up first in Jan, then Thailand, India, Italy) and am looking to get the most out of my trips rather than doing the typical hotel/hostel thing. I'm mainly interested in making friends with people who live in Hawaii that I wouldn't have the chance to meet if I stayed in a hostel.
