Overview
About Me
I am a digital nomad freelance writer traveling with my ten-year-old daughter FT this fall and looking to make kid friends and share experiences. I need to work a few hours a day with wifi, and love writing about our travel experiences, taking pictures, and being open to new people and places.
We're very open to spending time learning and teaching, but we can also be plucky and independent, as well as thoughtful of your needs.
We are in the process of (re)settling down this winter in Portland, Oregon.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To honor the journey & grow our tribe, have a more down-to-earth and connected experience, and meet new people.
Interests
Going places, hiking, outdoors, gymnastics, dreaming, building my writing/agency businesses, kids, unschooling, design, guitar, hitting voodoo doughnuts and calling it a night.

Music, Movies, and Books
Alice, who is ten, says: Warrior cats books, Harry Potter, Christina Perri, 80s ladies, Adam Sandler, Marilyn Monroe, and Cameron Diaz movies.
I'll just let her speak for the group.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I survived. I became location independent. I like to make things happen.
Teach, Learn, Share
Jessica can teach you to do a back handspring on your mattress and can walk on her hands indefinitely. There has to be some use and value in that, right?

How to work digitally
I'm a Ph.D. -- do you need to get a kid into college? I'm your woman.
Alice offers fun and is a great and sensitive companion for kids. And will be your movie buddy any night of the week.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Doughnuts? English? Simple cooking? Stories and pictures?
