About Me

American born, Australian raised. Looking to travel the world, experience as much culture as possible, make life long friends and share my passion about the environment to whom ever will listen/have me. I love to scubadive, hike, kayak, slackline and so on. Any activity spent in the great outdoors is for me! I love to meet other travellers and to share experiences that will inspire future travels. I am very sociable, always up for creating unforgettable memories - whether it be going out on the town or waking up at the crack of dawn to go on a sunrise hike, also keen to learn/improve any skills.

P.s. if you are using Couchsurfing as a hookup site, please don’t ask to hangout/surf or accept my request. This is not what the Couchsurfing community is about and I suggest you download the app tinder :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well it all begun when I picked up a hitchhiker while I was in New Zealand, on our way to the hokitika gorge, she explained to me all of her experiences on CS and I was inspired!
I just think it’s a really cool way to meet people who most of the time have amazing stories to tell and are fascinating people! So far everyone I’ve met that has been on couch surfing whether it’s been someone I’ve stayed with or someone I know who couch surfs they all are super amazing people who inspire me and I hope to one day be able to host people at my own place.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favorite artists include Tash Sultana, Sticky fingers, Matt Corby, Ziggy Alberts. Also like old jazz - Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and Billie holiday
Movies: Actually more of a documentary person, I love one strange rock and blue planet. I also really enjoy Hayao Miyazaki films.
Books: Collapse, deep survival, how to read water.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess this is down to the individual and what they define as amazing but during winter I Ice-dive, which includes cutting a hole in 6-8 inch deep ice, diving into the hole into waters anywhere from -1 to -10 and checking out shipwrecks :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the few chords I know on the ukulele, my knowledge of film cameras as well as books! When I travel I usually have a bunch of book that I read that I then give away or trade with people I met.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Random fun facts, travel advice for the places I've visited, a tour guide if you are ever around my way and a safe place to sleep.

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Cambodia, Canada, France, Germany, Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam
