Hello! My name is Jess and I'm currently studying Classical Archaeology. I just spent a semester living in Athens and have spent time in Budapest, Istanbul, Germany, Malta, Italy. I have also explored Greece quite extensively since being here for a few months. I have caught the travel bug and am eager to explore wherever I can! I'm an avid hiker and love to find the best views a country has to offer. Any chance to be made utterly speechless by this beautiful world is a chance I'm going to take!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couchsurfing because I'm an avid believer that when you travel you have to make a conscious effort to branch out of your comfort zone and get to know people. That's what makes seeing the world so beautiful! I love meeting people of all kinds provided they're kind and care about others! I thought that couchsurfing would be more rewarding than anything else!

Interests

I love archaeology, yoga, kayaking, hiking, Classical studies, indie music, good coffee, and seeing new places! Get me into nature or on a comfy chair with a good book and I'll be happy. Heroes consist of Nikola Tesla and Noam Chomsky (who I've met!)

I am a huge nerd and I love all things related to Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, you name it! I love reading Renaissance poetry, Enlightenment philosophy, turn of the 20th century science fiction, social satire, the list goes on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This semester I went skydiving with one of my roommates and it was insane!! I wanted to do it again right away. It was such a rush and you feel so free. I definitely recommend jumping out of a plane strapped to a stranger :)
