I've tried to couchsurf one time previously, but the logistics of plans fell through unfortunately. I love meeting new people who can show/ teach me things about the places I'm seeing that you can only learn by really delving into the area. Touristy things are great and all, but I want to learn about what gives that place it's personality! Fellowship and community are also extremely important to me, and so just getting to know people that I might otherwise never meet is an opportunity that I wouldn't want to miss!
