About Me

Hello people of the world! (When I teach this is how I greet many of classes, and I find it elicits confused looks from students. Which is always fun)
I'm a lady who's doing stuff and going places and enjoying things. I'm a lady who loves to hear your stories. I'm a lady who really enjoys making you laugh. I'm a lady who never forgets to eat breakfast. Or lunch. Or dinner. I'm a lady who embraces the awkward. I'm a lady who wrote X-Files fan fiction before it was cool. I'm a lady who always packs a snack.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

People are nice. I like to meet them. And help them out if I can. And perhaps get helped by them. Meeting and helping and knowing and enjoying people. These are the reasons I got into tha bizness.

Interests

My holy trinity is food, funny and travel. Not necessarily in that order. I dabble in the world of comedy improv. Short form, long form. All the forms. This interest bleeds into another one, movies. And tv. And books. Stories. I really like stories. True stories and not true stories. Tell me a good story and I'm a happy lady. Food is up there on the interest list for me. I like to try it and cook it. New things are always fun to try. Always. I'm a really bad runner, but I like to run. Most of the time. Sometimes I hate it and I refuse to do it. But other times it's not so bad. It's a love/hate relationship we have.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Venice, Italy to film a movie once. It was not a good movie. And my part was very small and mostly cut out of the final version. And it snowed while we were in Venice. But I got to go to Venice. And I got to try Absinthe. And I rode in a gondola steered by a man in a NorthFace puffy vest.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A sense of humor. And an open mind. A willingness to have a good time. And an offer to do the dishes and clean up after myself.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Israel, Mexico, South Korea, United States
