About Me
Hello! I'm Jess. :) I am American, I'm from Colorado, and I've been living in Ireland for the past year and a few months. I have been volunteering, last year I lived in community with adults with disabilities and currently I am working with people experiencing homelessness. I love people-getting to know them and hearing their stories, and I love seeing new places.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love living on this side of the world and I am trying to take advantage of the time I have left on my visa and explore as many other countries as I can. It's a bit difficult with a volunteer salary, but some friends recommended to me to look into couchsurfing. My most favorite experiences I have had while traveling have been when I was able to spend time in the houses of people who actually live where I was visiting, and I think couchsurfing sounds like such a beautiful experience to share different cultures and really experience a country how it is! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of all these things! Some of my favorite music is Dermot Kennedy, Noah Gunderson, and Ziggy Alberts. Some movies are Lion, The Young Offenders, Dirty Dancing, and Short Term 12. I need to read more books these days- but ones I love are the Harry Potter books, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Life of Pi, and anything by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I've done since I've lived in Ireland was swimming with some bio-luminescence plankton in a lake in west Ireland. Basically, these little plankton light up or glow when they are disturbed, so we went in the middle of the night and... disturbed them a lot haha. It was truly amazing though! <3
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn more about you and your country and culture! I can teach you... some chords on the ukulele, some cheesy jokes or... a few Irish words I've learned? Haha
What I Can Share with Hosts
I hope to share some of my experiences with you while also learning about your country and your life journey. :)
