About Me

I am currently trying to figure out my life, and have decided to follow my dreams and travel in the meantime! I have a few months between now and graduate school - I will be studying electrical & computer engineering abroad in China. I am introverted but I love having conversations and making new friends :) I travel mainly to experience food and city/town culture, but recently have been getting more interested in nature and hiking. I love cooking and eating, board games (things like dominion and settlers), dogs, and sci fi/fantasy novels. I like casual hangouts at coffee shops and bars, but occasionally will be in the mood for clubbing.

I have traveled around Europe during a study abroad semester, Nicaragua for a summer nonprofit program, and Taiwan and Japan. Taiwan is my favorite country of all time - my parents were born there and I have spent many summers visiting. I am just starting to dip my feet into the world of solo travel and have many more places on my bucket list in the US and all over the world. I'd love to share about my experiences and learn from fellow hosts and couchsurfers about theirs too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling has always been a passion and dream of mine and I'd like to be as budget friendly as possible. I have just quit my job and am trying to travel before starting grad school, and I'm taking advantage of my free time to travel as much as I can! I love traveling on my own and but am also challenging myself to meet new friends as I travel.

Interests

I love reading sci fi/fantasy novels (especially fantasy). Currently reading The Lies of Locke Lamora.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a summer in Nicaragua helping hospital technicians repair and maintain their equipment. I also went volcano boarding and tried to learn Spanish.
