About Me
Hi! I'm Jessica, a Sicilian student and traveler.
I recently graduated in languages and literatures, in particular Russian. I lived and studied in Moscow for a year and travelled all around Russia by train.
I photograph in analogic/digital and I'm training all the time while traveling. I also have been practicing Chinese martial arts for about 7 years.
Since I will have a gap of several months before starting my master degree in translation, and because I'm always eager to discover new countries and meet people, I thought that the best way for starting this journey was right from here :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
During my travels I understood how important is to get in touch with the local folk, to be able to really live the experience of living a country from the perspective of its inhabitants.
That's why I'm here!
Music, Movies, and Books
I do not focus on specific things or labels amongst what I like. I am a person who is interested in multiple aspects of life and arts, I like to let new discoveries catching me and moving me.
But for the sake of conventions, I will sum uo a short list of things I like, because it's too restrictive to discuss it here anyway:
Music: Roberto Musci, Sen Morimoto, Death Grips, Ада, Созвездие Отрезок, Howie Lee, Baustelle, Dai Fujikura, Hiromi Uehara, King Krule, Кино, Benjamin Clementine and many others
Directors: Tarkovskij, Ozu, Kong Kar-wai, Miyazaki, Visconti, Fellini, Rossellini, Antonioni, Bergman, Zhang Yimou, Kusturica and many others
I'm also a fan of Avatar, the last Airbender :)
Books: ...well it's too difficult since I study literature :) I can say that I love Russian contemporary literature, and for now I'm discovering Chinese literature. I also read poetry and I love non-fiction and travel literature. I really appreciate Italian literature as well
