Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never couch surfed before. I'm a little apprehensive about the whole thing, but I have an adventurous spirit and love to go new places and try new things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteered on a mission trip to Guatemala. While we were there we served at a school, I got to help with gym class. It really amazed me how kids are the same. I was also touched by how sweet the kids were, even though I only know a limited amount of Spanish, but the kids didn't let that stop them from finding a way to communicating exactly what they wanted to say to us. We taught each other and I think that's the most important thing I learned while I was in Guatemala. Every place you go, Everything you do is a learning experience and we didn't need to speak the same language or come from the same culture to enjoy it.
