About Me
CURRENT MISSION
After traveling around the country for the last year and hiking a section of the Appalachian Trail, we decided we're ready to join a community again. Planning to move to Eugene, Oregon with my boyfriend, Bas. We visited there last October and loved it so much we decided to move there. We booked a plane ticket for the first weekend in October and are working on figuring out the details.
ABOUT ME
I enjoy traveling and learning about the culture and the people of places I go. I've been to Costa Rica, the Philippines, Peru, Mexico. I want to go see New Zealand after viewing the beautiful landscapes in Lord of the Rings. New experiences compel me to grow and better myself as a fellow human being.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe the people you meet are the most important part of anything. I think there's no better way to meet people in a new place and learn so much from them than by doing so. We've had a great time meeting people whether it was meeting up or staying at their house.
Interests
Learning new things (Just learned how to use a bow and arrow the other day). Thought provoking books, movies, conversations. kayaking. boating. hiking. rock climbing. biking. social and political science. drinking tea, coffee and beer. cuddling with cats. gardening herbs and veggies. don't know a lot about permaculture but I am intrigued by it. I want to read all the good books in the world and meet all the interesting people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Breaking the mold. I know it doesn't sound like much and I think it goes overlooked and underrated too often, but one of the best things I've done with my life has been to take the courage to leave a stable job and pursue the passion I have for life. That's allowed me to travel across the country (one day maybe the world), focus on rewarding experiences and learn far more in the past two years about my self and the world around me than I ever have before and I want to be able to continue living freely and true to my self.
Teach, Learn, Share
Besides stories and conversation, we can offer organizing, cleaning, raking, cooking, chores and errands, etc. in exchange for our stay. My boyfriend, Bas, is beginning to learn Japanese and plays guitar as a hobby. Some of our shared interests are psychology and philosophy, as well as cooking, reading, and pretty much any outdoor activity.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Time and words mostly, being that we're moving to Eugene with relatively little possessions. We have stories to tell, skills to offer (minor bike repairs, anyone?) and a fun attitude. We love hanging out and sharing a good time with other people.
