ABOUT ME

I'm an American living in Madrid, trying to take full advantage of my stay in Europe. I'd love to see most of Europe as possible, and I'm taking it one step at a time. You know what they say, once you start traveling.. you can't really stop!

I'm from San Diego, but right now, I live in Madrid, teaching English to the little ones.
I'd love to meet people who'd like to show me the city, and make new friends!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Because people really are the best. And CS puts a whole bunch of great people together!
Also, the best way to experience a city is with someone who knows/loves it, and CS makes it possible to do that!
But mostly, it's to share experiences and to make friends, since I believe we all have a little something to give and can take something in return. Besides, isn't everything more fun with good company?

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to read, so that's a hard one... Harry Potter will always have a special place in my heart. But I'm now reading El Peregrino by Coelho at the moment.

Also, I'm trying to listen to whatever Spanish music I can to improve my Spanish.. but my current favorite is Nahko Bear

Skinny dipping in bioluminescence in San Diego at night. It was ethereal, literally out of this world!

Teach, Learn, Share

Did you know that camels have two pairs of eyelids? True story!

But on a serious note, just try to understand that everyone has their own story- everyone has their battles that you probably don't know about. So if someone is annoying you (for example), give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe their babies kept them up all night, or they just lost their job, or whatever else. It most likely won't be true, but it'll make you happier and make their days better. And in the end, isn't that what it's all about?
