ABOUT ME
I like oddities and humor, disguises and surprises, slip-ups and likely stories.
Interests
I am the founder and co-owner/curator of an independent art gallery in Duluth, Minnesota, USA called Ochre Ghost Gallery. In the past two years we've been dedicated to supporting a variety of experimental and innovative work by emerging local and regional artists. When I'm not running around doing 'gallery stuff' I enjoy making things (mostly art, jewelry & clothes), hunting for Lake Superior agates (if you've never seen one google image search them, they're amazing), going to see live music, playing ping pong and hiking/exploring/camping.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A few years ago I was camping deep in the Grand Canyon, enjoying the view from a precipice, when a thunderstorm rolled in. I've always been attracted to unusual weather events and this was the most intense and beautiful storm I've ever witnessed. The sun was setting and, with the heavy storm clouds, it was almost dark. I watched, while perched on the edge of a very steep drop, as powerful lightning bolts struck down into the canyon and lit up details of the black abyss. I felt thrilled and defenseless, amazed and scared all at the same time. In the midst of my awe I heard lightning strike on the cliff just behind me. My first thought was: wow, that was really close! My second thought was: wait a second, that's where the tent is set up!!! I went back to assess the damage but everything was fine. I climbed into the tiny tent on the edge of nowhere and fell asleep to the sounds of chaos in the canyon.
