About Me

ABOUT ME

I recently moved to sunny Brisbane with my partner, and I'm really keen to meet some new faces!

I absolutely love cooking, and when it comes to food I'll try anything once. I'm also a big fan of relaxing with a glass of wine.

I love travelling, although I haven't done anywhere as near as much as I'd like. So far my favourite trip was probably to South Korea. I'm getting married in April 2013 and we're going to Iceland for our honeymoon, which I'm sure is going to be amazing.

I really love textiles of all sorts, including embroidery, knitting and sewing. I'm currently making my own wedding dress!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm happy to host visitors to Brisbane. I'm still pretty new here, so I don't know all the sights, but I'd love to meet new people!

We're also hoping to find some couches to stay on when we visit Iceland on our honeymoon in May 2013!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far, but I'm looking forward to getting started.

Interests

As I mentioned above, I love cooking, and enjoying a good glass of wine. I also enjoy embroidering, knitting and sewing. I enjoy bushwalking, although I haven't done any for a while, as well as pilates and yoga.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to movies I love geeky stuff like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, as well as romantic comedies and British comedies like Shaun of the Dead. For TV I also enjoy geeky stuff like Firefly and Eureka, as well as documentaries by people like Louis Theroux and Brian Cox. My love of books is so varied that I can't list it all here, but at the moment I'm really enjoying Wolf Hall. My music tastes are along the indie pop end of the spectrum - think Belle and Sebastian, Andrew Bird, Fleet Foxes etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Definitely my most amazing experience would by hiking up Franz Josef Glacier in New Zealand - one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring places I've ever been.
