About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make art everywhere.

ABOUT ME

I'm really easy going, very flexible when making arrangements. I'm a bit of a hippie, I like to cook and make things, all kinds of things. Clothes, art, food, jewellery, I like creating something where before there was nothing.
I'm a self employed performing artist so my schedule is usually pretty loose, unless I have a deadline!

PHILOSOPHY

Always say hello.

Interests

I'm quite creative, I like to draw, paint, tried my hand at sculpting, jewellery making. All of these are things I enjoy but don't do enough of. I've recently gotten into music in a big way and play guitar, ukulele and bagpipes. I've been playing for a few years now but still consider myself a novice in the musical area. I love seeing music live and just can't keep up with all the fantastic gigs in my area! I have a list of books as long as my arm on my "to read" list. I'm kept busy these days producing my own theatre and cabaret shows for Fringe festivals all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

On the Road, Amanda Palmer, The Darkness, Marilyn Manson, Leon: The Professional, Katy Perry (love/hate relationship), Fight Club.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I toured Australia a few years ago and was in Alice Springs two days after some massive bushfires razed the area. I went on a sunrise balloon ride and the view of the sun rising over the blackened earth through a haze of smoke made me really appreciate the tragic beauty of nature. I just couldn't get over the vast expanse of devastation but was struck by the fantastic image it created. I also got to swim with whale sharks in Exmouth, another nature appreciation story. I've never been one to really appreciate a sunset or a view from a mountaintop, perhaps because growing up in Australia you are constantly surrounded by bushland but whale sharks and balloon rides are things that can't just happen anywhere. I suppose therein lies the attraction.

Teach, Learn, Share

I play ukulele and can teach anyone how to in about 30 mins. I can juggle, fire twirl, draw, paint. I believe anyone can do anything, it's just a matter of practice and training.
