About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live life with happiness, beauty and respect.
ABOUT ME
I love to be outdoors, I love good vibes, good food and good company to share it with! I am very energetic and out-going. I often get excited about the little things and try to see all new situations as another adventure.
Where I'm from: I am a true New Yorker at heart. I know where to get the best pizza, bagels and Chinese food. I love its beaches and its forests. And I would love to share it with others.
PHILOSOPHY
Do what makes you happy. There really is no point in anything else.

Updates: 5/15- Alaska! Leading trips in the backwoods of the great North
I currently work as an educator for an organic farm school in Alabama, USA. I spend my days caring for the farm and teaching kids how to love and appreciate nature through farming. I teach them skills such as how to milk goats, mix potting soil and to prepare a sustainable and healthy meal from food they harvested themselves. At nights, I lead students in songs and stories by the campfire. The students I teach vary from urban city kids from Birmingham to rural kids whose families work in industrial agriculture. I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to open their eyes to how to live a lifestyle that is fun and simple and beautiful in a natural way on the Earth.
I currently live in a community of people who work at the camp. We have no locks on our doors as the philosophy is, ‘it’s how life ought to be.’ When we are not at the fields or with kids we spend a lot of our time around food including exploring new recipes, baking breads and making cheese. I know if the rest of the world lived as we did, it would be a much happier and peaceful place.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a music junkie and have yet to find something that I don't like. I like rock, folk, bluegrass, classical, funkiness, jazz, reggae, any genre played on a ukulele, and course something you can dance to. Some favorites: Dispatch, Justin Townes Earle, Modest Mouse, The Postal Service/Death Cab for Cutie, Sublime, Blink-182, Red Hot Chili Peppers
Books: Always good for a heart-warming fiction but currently I've been all about the non-fictions. I love environmental books by the likes of McKibben, Pollen and Aldo Leopold. Love Bill Bryson, Jack Kerouac and John Steinbeck. Oh and I'm a shameless Harry Potter fan.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first time that I really saw the milky way. Although I grew up an hour outside New York City and can see a few stars at night I had never known how breathtaking a true starry sky could be. I just sat there all night counting the shooting stars.
Teach, Learn, Share
Art: music making, ukulele, violin, sharing songs and stories, painting, drawing
Science and Nature: foraging, plant identification, earth studies
Cooking and food preparation/preservation: Cheese making, bread making, pickling/canning, seed saving
Sports: bicycle riding, gymnastics, running, swimming.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer my enthusiasm, good conversation and a good sense of adventure. I am always looking for someone who is down to jam, even if you don't play a specific instrument, it doesn't matter, as long as you are feeling the music.
