I worked tues thru saturday until 130am most nights for 10 years managing comedy and music clubs, having a lot of stress and responsibilities, but little free time, little time with friends/family, and little time to dream. Before that I was fun, adventurous, spontaneous, and creative, so I quit my job in February 2015 and decided to travel South America until my budget runs out :) when i return, I plan to open an events company and hire battered women, and ultimately start an international mentor program for orphans. Im so happy to have made this decision- Ive met amazing people and reconnected with nature on my new journey, and I feel more and more optimistic each day that I can be happy and make a small difference in the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Ive heard great stories of bonds and friendships and experiences from this program/site. It seems to link like minded people who are different in so many ways allowing people to have fun and learn from each other. Of course it also allows travelers to keep going for longer by spending less money. Win win win situation!

Interests

I honestly like pretty much everything.. If I dont want to do something I still want to learn about it and see it. Im constantly curious, and I adapt to my surroundings whether its a week in the amazon rain forest without electricity in an open cabana, to salsa until 4am in a big club, to hot springs with a book, to cooking a yummy meal for a group of new friends, or going out all dressed up, or hiking a cloud forest.. anything can be fun with the right attitude and the right company. My motto is to leave everything and everyone better than I found it to the best of my ability! Complaining doesnt help anyone, be productive and positive or go home.

Music, Movies, and Books

Again, I like most things. For both films and books, sometimes an introspective documentary day is nice, sometimes a light comedy and some cocktails, or a mind spinning thriller can all be good.
All music is fun, and I managed a live music venue so Ireally do appreciate diversity and passion of different music. I can be caught dancing to a cell phone ringtone.
