CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to find happiness in life and to learn a little bit about everything in the world there is to know. Busco felicidad en la vida mientras tanto aprender un poco de todo lo que hay para saber del mundo.

ABOUT ME

I've always been someone who sets goals and makes plans. But nothing ever works out the way I want it to or think it will and I'm starting to appreciate that as one of the beautiful things in life. Estudié en la Universidad filología hispanica y por eso me marché de mi país sin tener ni idea de lo que me pasaría en cuanto llegara a España. Life is an adventure and I want to share my adventures with other people who feel the same. I don't have much but if I have a shirt and you have none, I'll rip mine in half to share with you :)

PHILOSOPHY

The possibilities are endless. I think diversity is one of the most amazing concepts in the world. I adhere to my own strict moral code and I am very attracted to other people who are also firm in their own beliefs and opinions no matter how different they are from mine. I don't believe in regrets and I try not to dwell on "missed opportunities" because I do the best I can with what I have and that's all I can ask of myself. Every experience, positive or negative, that I've had, has had a hand in my character and has made me into the person you see in front of you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm struggling to find a place for myself at the moment so I can't offer my couch to other surfers, but I CAN offer english-spanish language exchanges and I WOULD like to do some traveling myself. If anyone is coming to Madrid or already here and would like to meet up (hablantes de inglés o español) I am here!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only had friends who have been members up until now. Some of my roommates have been hosts so I've had the pleasure of meeting fellow surfers who came to visit Seattle. They were always extremely pleasant people and I really enjoyed their company!

Interests

I like a little bit of everything, and I'll try anything once. I think everyone has something to offer so I enjoy getting to know people and learning about their cultures. More than anything I am interested in people. My other main interest is Spanish. I want to be a Spanish teacher in the United States and an interpreter because I want to help spread cultural awareness to the youth of America. So currently, I'm interested in gaining life and world experience to help others realize the same goals. Tabmién me encanta cocinar, y estoy aprendiendo a bailar salsa y bachata.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

La primera experiencia que abrió mis ojos al mundo fue en la universidad cuando vine a españa para estudiar el castellano. Aprender otro idioma es la cosa más importante que he hecho en la vida, que me obligó a darme cuenta de lo que quedaba en el mundo fuera de lo que conocía anteriormente. When I graduated college I didn't know what to do, so I saved up all my money and moved to Spain just hoping things would work out. That one thing I did has been the catalyst for sooooo much more.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a gatherer of perspectives. I've been a lot of places and met a lot of people and I take a little bit from everything, so perspective is something I can share. I can also teach english and I'm pretty good at cooking.
