ABOUT ME

I'm adventerous and out for new experiences and a good time. I love traveling, meeting new people, experiencing new cultures, and trying new and strange food and drink. When traveling, I make a point to sample the indigenous Hawaiian pizza, and I can probably drink you under the table. I try to keep a healthy sense of humor, and I laugh at everyone's jokes, particularly my own.

Interests

I love a well-written book, especially if it has won the Booker prize. It's just the best prize. I can always get down with some live music, as long as it doesn't involve the tin whistle. I like watching sports on TV, mostly European football and American college basketball, and I find that every game's more exciting if you've got a little money on it. I try to keep it simple and real.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was awestruck on a farm in Thailand when I realized that pineapples grow on bushes, not trees.

My recent visit to Auschwitz was one of the most humbling, terrifying and important days of my life.

The kindness of strangers and the intelligence and humor and generally dizzying goodness of my friends never cease to amaze me.
