ABOUT ME

Hey, i'm Jess, I live in Melbourne, AU with my boyfriend Will. I have been settled back here for a few years now after a stint working and living in the UK, Europe, Canada and the States. It was at that time that I couch surfed with several different hosts in many countries (more than what my profile suggests since at times I was with another traveller using their account). We have a lot of family and friends come and go so I don't feel we can offer our space in advance however last minute/same day requests are welcome just send a message asking. If we can help then we will!

PHILOSOPHY

The meaning of life is to give life meaning!!

If you believe you can, you probably can.
If you believe you won't, you most assuredly won't.
Belief is the ignition switch that gets you off the launching pad!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed with 7 hosts in 4 countries (Ireland, Slovenia, France, Austria and Canada). I must say the most memorable was in Slovenia, outside the city of Ljubljana in a place called Skofje Loka. Our gracious host Jure and his family were just amazing and my friend Leah and I had this awesome, cultural experience of Slovenia that just exceeded all expectations!

Interests

I love the sun, the beach, avocados, Paris, travelling/backpacking, shopping, lying in the sun, Edinburgh, nightclubs, reading a good book, Missy Higgins, good movies, Amsterdam, laughing, FAMILY, other languages, having fun, sour lollies, discovering new places, staying in my pj's all day, yummy food, Powderfinger, ice cream, taking photos, meeting new people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I couldn't pick one! the sun setting over the North - Eastern peninsula of Greece, Lake Bled in all it's beauty in Slovenia, thousands of people crammed in to a beer hall in Germany at Oktoberfest, the rustic charm of Palermo, Sicily, the breathtakingly beautiful castle and waterfront in Prague, Milford sound and Snowboarding in NZ. Travelling in general is the most amazing thing I have ever done and continue to do.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach you Australian slang and jokes...but you might not get it... :)

Learn: Languages...I love to learn as much as I can in the short times that I am in a place so feel free to ear bash me with it!

Share: I will share anything and everything, what fun is having something/knowing something if you cannot share it?! Whether it be food, a book, my knowledge of places I have been, or my opinions on whatever subject we start talking about.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A warm bed and lots of local knowledge. My partner and I basically live to eat and drink in this wonderful city and its surrounding areas, so if that is up your alley, you'll be in the right place! We are always keen to share a meal and/or drink together also.
