About Me

I'm a 22 year old law student from England, originally from Northumberland but living in Keele for my degree.
I am a fun loving, polite, reliable and kind person, who enjoys meeting new people, being sociable and learning new skills.
I'm currently looking for somewhere to stay in Birmingham whilst I get settled, my situation is rather unique and unconventional for couchsurfing, so if anyone is interested please let me know!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been a member of couchsurfing since 2014, however have yet to host anybody.
I recommend couchsurfing to anybody that I can, and love to read other peoples experiences of the site.
Being an avid traveller, I think the aim of couchsurfing and what it allows people is fantastic, I know several of my friends have been stranded in foreign countries and have been put up last minute!
I would love the opportunity to use couchsurfing again, and to meet more people and learn new and valuable skills, or cultures.

Interests

I love music, art and theatre, as well as horse riding, volleyball and netball.
I'm an avid reader, knitter, and I adore travelling.
I'm a folk musician by trade, and I play the northumbrian pipes, guitar and I sing. I'd be happy to jam with you if you play an instrument!
I also love to cook and bake, and would be happy to share some of my recipes with you!

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a lot, and I listen to a lot of music.
My favourite authors are Jennifer Armentrout, Kathy Reichs, Sarah Alderson, Josephine Angelini, J.K.Rowling, Jodi Picoult and George R. R. Martin. I also love all the classics!
My music taste differs depending on my mood. I love classical, pop, folk, indie, dance, dubstep - anything and everything, but my favourite musician is John Mayer.
Movies - again I love a lot of different movies, including Disney! My top three movies are 12 Years A Slave, 28 Days Later and The Devil Wears Prada (completely different movies as you can see!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent my teenage years playing concerts, and I can't pick my favourite moment so here are three:
1. I played at the opening of the Olympics in London 2012
2. I sang the Messiah at the Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms
3. I played a concert with Sting at the Sage Gateshead

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn new things, and experience new cultures and interests.
I pick up hobbies wherever possible, and over time have gathered an eclectic mix of skills! I'd be happy to share some with you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm organised and tidy, so you wouldn't have to worry about me making a mess!
I am an avid baker and cook, so I would be more than happy to cook for you or bake. I can also offer my input on wine, as I do love a good glass of wine every now and then.

I'm also a musician - I play guitar, northumbrian pipes and I sing, so I would be happy to share my music with you if you were interested!
