I've stayed with several host families in non-couchsurfing-related situations, and have hosted people from other countries and always have really enjoyed the experience. I participated in a cultural exchange program with high school in Spain when I was in high school, and learned a lot from the experience. I believe in giving someone a safe, welcoming place to stay and in being a gracious host when I stay at someone else's place. It's also really nice not to have to pay at a hotel. I'd

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After undergrad I lived in Germany for almost a year as an Au Pair in a small town in Niedersachsen for a family with a seven-year old boy. I learned the definition of culture shock firsthand, experienced firsthand what it was like to be part of a German family, did a lot of running, and a lot of drinking, and met some really fantastic people along the way.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll cook with/for you, I have a pretty good understanding of a kitchen and am happy to be part of the food process and learn new recipes
I have a working knowledge of how instruments work and can teach you a song of your choosing on guitar if you're willing to learn. I can also give you singing pointers (I'm classically trained).
I love languages. I'd love to improve my German, French, Spanish, or whatever and help you out with a language you're learning or just chat.
