About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My biggest mission right now is to gain new perspectives. I find that I have lived in such a closed off environment, living in the city, that I am disconnected from nature and thus my travels begin. I hope to learn from other people and cultures.

ABOUT ME

I was born in a small town of red necks and rowdy cowboys and then moved to the the big city in order to become more civilized. But now I am over-civilized and in need of grounding. Yoga wouldn't suffice and reading in a coffee shop wasn't quite enough. So I moved out of my apartment, put my stuff into storage and hit the road, not to find myself, but to find out about other peoples lives.

PHILOSOPHY

What you put in is what you get out. Be positive and be compassionate. Treat the world with kindness but be strong in the face of discomfort.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted just one person but we shared a meal with some friends and honestly I was just happy to give someone a place to stay.

I have stayed with a couple really great hosts who have given me a whole day out of their schedule or a whole apartment to myself to stay in.

I am amazed at the generosity of people and will continue to believe in the kindness of humanity<3

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll watch the Matrix any time it's on TV lol

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I toured 7 countries in 21 days when I was 17 with a tour of 50 people. I saw the sun rise at Haleakala in Hawaii. I saw the northern lights in Williams Lake B.C. I saw a glacier in Hazelton B.C. I have hiked the biggest sand dunes in western Canada at Farewell Canyon.

I guess that's not just one thing...oops

Teach, Learn, Share

I love nutrition and over the years have learned a lot about what benefits the body. I have a degree in geography and continue to live what I have learned everyday. I speak french and english and a bit of spanish. Am learning Korean but its only basic basic basic.
