About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to make my first feature film and to find a balanced life. (probably mutually incompatible)

ABOUT ME

Warm, honest, intelligent, kind, no bullshit. The kind of friend you have for life rather than the kind of party friend who passes in and out of your life.

PHILOSOPHY

I have been looking into Buddhism for a feature project and there is much that I admire in it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am just about to have my first experience as a surfer in Zurich as I research a film there (wish me luck)

I have offered my couch to a couple of people but as yet no one has accepted. I have been working on a film recently and have not had much time to host. But I will.

Interests

I am a filmmaker who began as a writer. I am passionate about telling stories about what it is like to be human. I am pretty fit and try to work out three times a week though I am a terrible runner. I like exploring new places and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Jonathan Franzen and his novels and prose.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I stayed in a hut in a forest in a Buddhist monastery in Thailand. I was taught the walking meditation by a charming Thai monk.

Being on an archaeological dig one summer for a necropolis in Gozo.

When I was over 30 I had my first play put on. Because I messed up my exams when I was 18 I never thought I would achieve everything I wanted.

In rehearsals for my first film I spent Saturday afternoon watching two actors pretend to make love in a friend's hallway. It felt kind of weird.

Working with students when they are very into filmmaking.

Working with good actors.

My friends asked me to be the god mother of their child.

The sleeper ride from Delhi to Jodpur with my french Friends. Having breakfast as the sun rose over the blue city.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, France, India, Norway, Thailand, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom
