I am a positive, upbeat, fun-loving person! I live in a great area of STL, working full time as a teacher. Perk of being a teacher: summers off! Which in turn means I am OFF - traveling all over the world!

I think Couchsurfing is such a great way to not only travel and see new places but to completely immerse yourself in the place you are visiting, beyond the tourist traps! My best travel experiences have been ones where I have had a local take me in, host me, and show me why they love the place they live. I want to do that for others! St. Louis is so underrated and I want to show others why I continue to choose to live in this great city!

I spent a year volunteering in Portland , OR with an Americorps program. It was one of the best years of my life, a time when I truly grew as a person - and is something I am very proud of!
