CURRENT MISSION

I have a need to see the world. I want to live, i want to experience, i want to find the places no-one looks for. I want to feel small, tiny, miniscule in the face of what really exists on this earth. I need to feel both insignificant and important.

ABOUT ME

I'm Jessica. The travel bug has well and truly bitten me and i'm looking forward to travelling the world, having amazing experiences and fulfilling my wanderlust.

I'm from Australia and studied at the University of Sydney. I finished an exchange program with University of Wisconsin Madison, and since then became and Exchange Adviser at my home university.

During my travels, I've met some amazing people, made lifelong friends and absolutely loved it. I'm an aspiring writer, snap happy photographer, traveller and a mild obsessor. I also want to help other people fulfil their adventures and dreams.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far i've only surfed, but meeting people and hanging out with couchsurfers at a few of the events has been so much fun. I will definitely get into hosting or at least get involved more when i'm back home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been couchsurfing for quite a while now, and have only had absolutely wonderful experiences. I try to keep in touch with my hosts and appreciate everything they do for me. I see it as a cultural exchange, and try to give back as much as i can. Couchsurfing is a great way to meet people make some really good friends and connections all over the world.

Centres d'intérêt

I have a passion for writing. I just love to create entire worlds simply out of words. I love exploring myself and the experiences i have creatively through my writing and I intend to let the world inspire me further.

I am a little bit addicted to the internet. It's the way i stay in touch with the friends i've made that are too far to touch.

Another passion of mine is reading. Plonk me in a corner with a good book and I will be happy for hours. You will rarely see me without some kind of reading material poking out of one of my bags.

Cooking too. Can't get enough of making delicious food, and of course eating it. Tell me about your favourite place to eat PLEASE and i will be there in a heartbeat.

Oh, and of course photography. Capturing a moment to immortalise forever fascinates me. I'm still experimenting with this, and i consider myself a novice, but I just love it.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Skiing down a mountain in Japan, eating tacos from a truck on the side of the road in a desert, hugging a tree older than history itself, walking on a frozen lake, looking down at the tiny people from the top of a skyscraper, hitchhiking with an out of service bus, crossing an interstate to get burgers.

There are too many to list, and i want more.

I can tell a good story, truth or fiction (is it ever really fiction though?) and I can teach you how to make some amazing Greek food (dolmades anyone?).I would love to learn how to sew properly!
