Overview
About Me
I am a globetrotting introvert that loves to see new places and connect with a place on a local level. I am happiest when I can meet people living in the areas I go to and can experience the city through there eyes. I am always on a budget and a low maintenance traveler. I am tidy, polite, and full of good stories to tell.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I officially joined the Couchsurfing community when I was in college, and I was even able to stay with a host in Venice- which was an amazing experience made all the better. My friend and I got to see a side to the city not many tourists experience and even went on a boat in the canal with our host and his friends. Making pasta with him and getting advice are some of my favorite memories. I haven't been able to host or travel since then but I have just recently become more available and gotten into the Couchsurfing community here in Baltimore. Now that I am able to go back out into the world and travel a bit again I am looking for the same meaningful experiences for my friend, myself, and my potential hosts!
Interests
I love to travel and see the world but I don't make very much money, so my favorite thing to do is to plan big trips on a very small budget. I call it marathon backpacking and while it is not for everyone I love to see as much as I can and to push my self to explore. I love animals and the outdoors so if I can incorporate this into my trips even better! At home I have a cat, I hope to get a dog soon, and I like to go swing and salsa dancing in the evenings or play a pick up game of soccer with my friends. I run a middle school program for underserved students and I think education is key to addressing inequality.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all music that's alternative and classic rock; favorite bands include: Ingrid Michaelson, Jack Johnson, Marina and the Diamonds, Arcade Fire, the Beatles, Death Cab for Cutie, Mumford & Sons, The Styx, Arctic Monkeys, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Flaming Lips, Flogging Molly, Bomba Estero and so many more!
I am a movie fanatic, hard to choose a favorite but I love: Good Will Hunting, Independence Day, Apollo 13, Zoro, anything by Hayao Miyazaki, Mulan and much of the Disney and Pixar empire, LOTR, Boondock Saints, What Maisie Knew, Dirty Dancing, Silence of the LambsThe Breakfast Club, Oceans Eleven, Fried Green Tomatoes, and a ton more!
I love reading, fun fact I won a contest once for reading more books in one year than anyone else in my elementary school so hopefully that's endearing. My favorite books are: The Hobbit, The Art of Racing n the Rain, the Harry Potter series, Winnie the Pooh, Fruits Basket, Calvin and Hobbs, Fahrenheit 451, Harrison Bergeron, The Zoo, The Taming of the Shrew, and so many others honestly this list could go on forever.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have hiked the entire west coast of Wales. I have napped on a canal in Venice. I have pet a kangaroo and fed a hippopotamus. I hope to go skydiving soon.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you all the best budget travel sites, the alphabet in sign language, and how to work with kids of any age. I also am great with animals so pets are a plus =)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have so many stories of the quirky people I've met and places I've been. I can also help you plan a trip anywhere on a budget, any budget. I also can cook and like to share meals.
