ABOUT ME
I 'm incredibly proud to be Southern and a CouchSurfing advocate to anyone that'll listen.
My love for wandering began when I went to Granada for a summer semester to study Spanish. It was awesome and I loved it. (See my novel co-authored by Daniel Steele at the end of this page to read more...)
I left Granada when my semester was over and backpacked for 2.5 months throughout Western Europe. I made my way to Cork Irleand to spend my fall semester at University College Cork in Ireland.
I headed back to Charleston over Christmas to move out of the apartment I left behind and put my stuff in storage. 2 weeks later, I headed back to Rome for my last senior semester. Over spring break, I went couchsurfing in Sardenia and Sicily when my host in Catania and I met we instantly fell in friendship love and I never wanted to leave. Until I had to...
I first joined Couchsurfing when I moved to Italy permanently and wanted to make Italian friends and continue to become more fluent.
So, I stumbled upon CSurfing.org and started a group called "La Dolce Vita" (see "how I participate"). I also started couchsurfing on weekends around Italy every chance I got and it lead me to meet some of the most incredible people I've ever been to lucky enough to lay eyes on. I highly recommend it

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've done?...
Crossed the mason dixon line, and shattered my very existence.
Everything I thought I knew about the world... what I'd been taught and told, my innate an unshakable patriotism was such a part of who I was that never had it crossed my mind to question it. To question anything.
Turns out...I knew nothing.
Thank God I made it out of the matrix just in time...
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak Italian on an advanced level of fluency, a little bit of Sicilian (all the funny & bad words;), I speak a little bit of Spanish (just the basics). Im happy to help anyone with their English or Italian!
