About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Winter Survival. Go away snow!

ABOUT ME

I'm an American Peace Corps Volunteer living in Ukraine (which is why I haven't verified my location). I teach English, speak just a little Russian and am looking forward to the end of winter! I love to read, run, travel, cook, write/blog (27monthsinukraine.wordpress.com) I've lived here for 16 months, and have about 8 months left. When I'm finished I'll do a little more travelling, then head home to get a Masters. (More school--it never ends!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to couchsurfing, and have always been a little hesitant to look into it, because I wasn't sure how safe it was. Nevertheless, some friends of mine tried it and had great experiences, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm not offering my couch, because you really don't want to come travel to my small town on the border of Russia and the Sea of Azov. But when I get back to the States I'll consider opening my couch to visitors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've got to say, living in Ukraine as a Peace Corps volunteer is by far the most ballsy thing I've ever done. It's changed me in many ways, my outlook on life being one in particular.
