Overview
About Me
I am an avid traveler, at least I like to believe I am. I'm guessing that's the majority of us on here. Last year I visited Dublin (again), Spain, Japan, Vegas, and Alaska. I want to see as many places and meet as many people as I can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My goal for 2015 is travel to more places than 2014 and I think the only way I'm going to be able to afford that is by couchsurfing. I have never done it before (other than at a friend's), but one of my goals is to push myself out of my comfort zone as often as I can. This is also a great way to meet new people throughout the world.
Interests
Right now I am training for a triathlon and again, enjoying pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I snowboard during the winter and I cycle during the summer. I write when I'm inspired and read when I'm not. I am the director of Vagina Monologues again this year. It's a lot of work, but always worth it.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: This varies as much as my mood. I make a lot of mix cds of my current favorite songs. Yes, I still make mix cds.
I’m really on this indie folk bender: Larry & His Flask, A. Tom Collins, Trampled By Turtles, Avett Brothers, Mumford & Sons, Old Crow Medicine Show, Yonder Mountain String Band, Eric Hutchinson (he’s not folk, but I’m really just looking at my 8tracks account), The Decemberists, The Lumineers. The list goes on.
I can never get enough of pop music or something I can “dance” to, but not club music. Definitely not club music. I quote “dance” because what I do is hardly dancing. I have a move called, “the naughty librarian.” Makes the crowd go crazy.
Movies: The Vagina Monologues, Rocky Horror Picture Show. I really wish I had the guts and memory to act on stage with this, but I have yet to do that. Let’s see: The Big Lebowski, In Bruges, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Pulp Fiction, Fargo
Books: The Vagina Monologues, nearly everything by Bukowski, Waiting For Godot, The Perks of Being a Wallflower. This list could probably go on forever, but then again, I read so many books, I forget a lot I have read. I’m currently reading, “Yes Means Yes!”
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved to Dublin, Ireland to earn my Master's degree in International Security and Conflict Studies. I bought a one-way ticket, thinking I would never return to Colorado again. As life goes, I ended up back in Colorado, but I love it here.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to cycle 100 miles with three bottles of water, a Quest bar, and Cocochia. I can share my poetry, stories, and haiku with you and I hope you have stories you would like to share with me. I am learning to live out of my comfort zone and if someone wants to help with that, that'd be awesome.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share stories. I like to think I'm a pretty good story teller.
