About Me

We are Jess and Connor...two veggie farmers, beginning homesteaders, and experienced world travelers on a year-long trip in New Zealand.
We are passionate about farming/gardening/permaculture, bike-travel, food, and sustainable (& tiny) living.
We both enjoy hiking, biking, yoga, finding swimming holes, listening to music, dancing swing and latin styles, cooking good food, reading poetry, and good bread. We are resilient, curious, rugged, and kind of quiet sometimes.

Jess enjoys bike rides, hiking volcanoes, farmers markets, dancing salsa and bachata, and making Indian food. Her favorite writers: Isabel Allende, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Johann Hari. She wants to have a therapy farm and homestead after she travels the world.
Connor is a San-Diego educated farmer who loves butter and bakes bread. He reads Pablo Neruda at breakfast, rides steel bikes, and aspires to be a shepherd one day.

Music, Movies, and Books

Pablo Neruda

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At 3210 meters in the Annapurna Circuit of the Himalayas, making the trek to the top of Poon Hill to witness the rise of the sun and the birth of a new day will forever remain engraved in my memory.

Teach, Learn, Share

We are experienced local-vores, vegans, and vegetarians...and we love to cook!

We can teach you how to grow your own food, ferment vegetables, use natural healing methods, brew beer, and make wine or mead!

We are patient teachers and communicators, especially with those learning to speak and write English. We both have taught English and computer skills to a Spanish-speaking population.

We love all outdoor adventures...hiking, swimming, climbing, yoga, running, and of course biking...

I want to learn to dance! Any and/or all latin dance! :) We are learning Salsa and Bachata and need more practice.

Hook us up with a place to volunteer our time and energy... any person or place that could use some extra help. We want to make this trip balanced...and we want to strengthen the communities we visit.
